CNC Employee Recognizes Make-A-Wish
Camden National Corporation Employee Recognizes Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine - 7/23/2008
CAMDEN, Maine, July 23, 2008 - Michael Clark, senior credit analyst in Camden National Corporation's risk management department, has chosen to recognize the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Maine with a donation made in his name from Camden National Corporation in recognition of his remarkable service efforts.
Michael Clark has chosen Make-A-Wish as the recipient of this Camden National Corporation donation because he enjoys the experiences he shares with his own young children. "My children provide me with a great deal of joy," explains Michael. "Thankfully, both of my boys are happy and healthy, but I recognize that other families may not be as fortunate health-wise. For those families, Make-A-Wish is there to help provide an experience that will bring the family joy and take their mind off the difficulties they may be facing."
Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Maine grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The Maine Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation opened in 1992. Founded by Wayne and Caroline Morong, in Camden, the Maine chapter has grown to serve children in each of Maine's 16 counties. As of May, 2008, Make-A-Wish granted nearly 800 wishes. This year, the Foundation expects to grant the greatest wish of over 75 seriously ill Maine children, which is an average of one wish every five days.
"Make-A-Wish Foundation of Maine is grateful for this donation and truly appreciate Michael and local businesses such as Camden National Bank for their inspiring work within their communities," said Make-A-Wish Events & PR Manager James Christie. "Michael Clark, and others like him, provides the magic that goes into the Wishes we grant to deserving Maine children. We thank Michael for choosing Make-A-Wish."
At Camden National Corporation, Michael Clark was selected in June 2008 from a monthly pool of nominations submitted by his peers to be recognized for his service to customers and fellow employees.
Each month, Camden National Corporation will continue to recognize two employees nominated by their peers to encourage service excellence in the delivery of The Camden National ExperienceSM and fulfill the Company's Core Purpose to enrich the lives of people, help businesses succeed and vitalize communities through each and every interaction.
